Yay,

I am pleased to announce that this time someone did enter and, while no-on got the Two thousand, two hundred and twenty second view, SeedyDeedee was only one out.

I now just have to hope that she doesn't come up with something too complicated, or more worryingly, too dubious for me to draw.

After the abysmal failure of my previous kiriban, I thought I would put myself through the indiginty of having another go.

Anyone who can send me a screen grab showing that they were my Two Thousand Two Hundred and Twenty Second visitor will get the dubious pleasure of me drawing a picture for them.

The picture will be of the winner or their alter ego as a chibby pony, a la My Little Pony. I'll be happy to send an electronic copy of the picture via email but I will keep the original.

If the Two Thousand Two Hundred and Twenty Second visitor hasn't contacted me within ten days of my noticing that the Two Thousand Two Hundred and Twenty Second view has been reached and one or more people with a screen-grab of a near-miss have contacted me I will declare the closest near-miss the winner.

In the event of the two closest near-misses being equidistant from the Two Thousand Two Hundred and Twenty Second view, the entry received first out of those two entries will be the winner, unless an appropriate bribe is received.

I'm not sure I want to know how the search keywords and the book go together.

Maybe you have to do it on a motorbike whilst jumping The Grand Canyon...

I suddenly realised it has been quite a long time since I left my rather sombre last entry.

We had Mum's funeral last month. My dad chose Unforgettable by Peggy Lee as accompaniment. I don't think he could have chosen better.

Dad has a lot of physio to go through but is now home and was really pleased to graduate form a wheelchair to a crutch last week.

This has affected all of my family in different ways but, apart from a tendency towards writing bad poetry, I seem to be coping relatively well and we all seem to be moving forward.

This is difficult to write.

I thought of various quite erudite ways of bringing this up but they all seemed trite.

My parents were in a car crash about ten days ago.

My dad came off the ventilator yesterday but has a long way to go. He is in intensive care and has multiple broken bones.

My mum didn't make it.

Sorry if that's a bit matter of fact.
